I only meant that a lot of the coverage from the US has been very biased towards the Israeli side’s casualties/hardships, so in several cases headlines may read “3 Israeli soldiers dead, and other Gazan deaths” or something like that instead of reflecting the hundreds of gazans that are being killed, the death toll being currently around 700. That specific post about the ankle I posted because its this trend taken to a pseudo-comedic absurd.
Cairo-based photojournalist Mosa’ab Elshamy caught this headline from the Monday edition of the Baltimore Sun that seems to capture Palestinian sympathizers’ frustration with mainstream media coverage of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. While Israeli combat fatalities are given up-front attention, Palestinian fatalities are brushed off as “others.”

The ironic thing about this article is that it’s satire that’s supposed to be making fun of Beyonce’s feminism by comparing her to a “great” feminist like S.B. Anthony, when actually, Beyonce /is/ a better feminist than S.B. Anthony. Like S.B. Anthony was a fucking racist puta who only care about white femininity and stepped on black men and women in order to achive ~suffrage~ like… lmao ?? Susan B. Anthony /IS/ A Shit-Sucking Gutter Feminist
I don’t think they are making fun of Beyoncé’s feminism but ya
I feel like they are
Or at least if they are not, they’re not very funny
Lol I really don’t think they are trying at all to make fun of Beyoncé’s feminism, I think they are making fun of the culture of worshipping her / the culture of people insulting other important women because of the perceived “higher quality” of Beyoncé’s actions. It’s the “when will your faves ever” culture that I think they are making fun of by using a counter of Susan B. Anthony, a respected historical figure, which makes the whole situation absurd.
a magician asks you to pick a card - any card, in fact. you do. they ask you to put the card back in the pack - anywhere in the pack, in fact. you do. they walk away. ten years later, your wife gives birth to the six of clubs. “is this your card?” the midwife asks, in a familiar voice.
